People do have lot of pain and some of them are chronic in nature at times. People also suffer because of that pain. It sometimes occurs in the hands and legs or some part of the body. But sometimes the pain in the body has no physical sign and mostly it becomes a psychological issue. In reality the pain does not exist and it is only in the mind of the person due to which he or she is feeling pain in that particular part of the body. This issue is known as pain disorder.

Like they feel a minor headache is a symptom of a brain tumor.
Another condition is body dysmorphic disorder. People with this disorder are obsessed with a physical flaw. In such condition patients may even imagine a flaw that they don’t have. The worry over this flaw is constant and it may involve any body part of theirs.
These people seek medical care very frequently. They are not satisfied with the diagnosis of medical specialist and go to multiple health care professionals in order to reassure that they have the pain or the health disorder which they are claiming to suffer from. This can become a very major problem for the person and it can even interfere in the day to day functioning of the person.
They tend to isolate themselves socially and can experience problem in work and family. The key to the treatment of this disorder is building a strong relation with doctor and the patient. This will help in managing the symptoms of the pain disorder and cutting down the unnecessary tests and treatments. The main focus of the treatment is not only managing the symptoms also but also improving the daily functions as well. Stress reduction is also an important part of getting better. Psychological counseling as well support of the friends and the family members are equally helpful. Cognitive behavioral therapy can also be very useful for treatment of pain disorder.
