What is pelvic pain?

Pelvic pain is rare but then it does affect the people. Pelvic pain is that pain which occurs in the lowest part of the pelvis and the abdomen. Pelvic pain affects the people differently because we all know that each and every other individual is different. Pelvic pain can be sometime severe or mild or it can just occur at times when you are least expecting it. Sometimes, pelvic pain can be noticeable during certain times such as during sexual intercourse or when you urinate. Pelvic pain is sometimes noticed when it is too much but apart from that when you suffer from mild pelvic pain, you don’t often notice it. Pelvic pain can occur at anytime at anyplace. You probably might not have heard about chronic pelvic pain, because this pelvic pain is that type of paint that stays for upto six months that creates a lot of problems to the the person who is suffering from chronic pelvic pain. Usually there are very few people who suffer from chronic pelvic pain but yes, there are people who can suffer from pelvic pain because there are various causes of it and some of the common causes are-

  • Sexually transmitted diseases
  • Pelvis disorders
  • Broken pelvis
  • Kidney infections
  • Kidney stones
  • Bladder disorders
  • Appendicitis
  • Hernia
  • Nerve conditions
  • Intestinal disorders
  • Psychogenic pain
  • Miscarriage
  • Ectopic pregnancy
  • Ovulation
  • Menstrual cramps
  • Fibroids
  • Uterine cancer
  • Cervical cancer

These are some of the common causes for the pelvic pain and therefore it is always better to consult the doctor so that the pain gets treated on time.

Now, how do you know that you are suffering from pelvic pain or no? You can analyse the symptoms as mentioned below and then treat your pelvic pain accordingly. The symptoms of pelvic pain are as follows –

  • Bloating or gas
  • Menstrual pain
  • Constipation
  • Diarrhea
  • Fever or chills
  • Pain during sex
  • Pain in the groin area
  • Pain in the hip area
  • Painful urination
  • Vaginal bleeding
  • Blood seen in bowel movement
  • Spotting or discharge

These are some of the symptoms of pelvic pain that will be pretty much noticeable and after that you can treat it accordingly.
